Imagining North Adams
started as a festival of images, ideas, and initiatives with a placemaking mission that took place in North Adams, Massachsuetts from August 30 through September 22, 2013 . Through artwork and participatory events, the festival invited participants to improve their city's future by turning local dreams into action.
Then a funny thing happened: people took us up on the proposition and began building on it with projects of their own. We now work to support those projects, including MCLA's Green Living Seminar Series, which is free and open to the public. Join us!
Our simple premise:
We have a lot more power than we think to change the fate of our cities.
